The No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing crew of Denny Hamlin beat out the No. 31 Richard Childress Racing crew of driver Jeff Burton to win Wednesday night’s Sprint Pit Crew Challenge at Bobcats Arena in Charlotte.

The opening competitive event for NASCAR's Sprint All-Star Race week saw 24 teams compete for the more than $70,000 first prize in team owners as well as a series of individual competitions.

The timed event required teams to jack a car, change four tires, fill a car with gas and then push their car 40 yards.

In the finals, Hamlin's JGR crew won by a margin of 23.132 seconds to 23.574 seconds for Burton’s crew, the 2009 event champion.
