Kyle Busch put himself in contention for a final-weekend-of-the-NASCAR-season sweep Saturday night when he won the Ford 300 Nationwide Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Busch, who won Friday night’s Ford 200 Camping World Truck Series race at Homestead and will be in Sunday’s Ford 400 Sprint Cup race, took the lead from Kevin Harvick with 22 laps to go.

He held off Harvick and got his 13th Nationwide victory of the season. Those wins came in 29 starts.

Busch led a race-best 153 laps.

“This Toyota was fast, man,” the Joe Gibbs Racing driver said.

“Terrible tight,” Harvick, who had the lead when the race restarted for the final time with 23 laps to go.

“We won three races this year and it felt like we could have won 10.”

Brad Keselowski, who clinched the series championship two weeks ago at Texas Motor Speedway, finished third.

Rookie Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was fourth. His finished earned him the series Raybestos Rookie of the Year Award.

Rookie Trevor Bayne was fifth – it was his sixth top-five finish of the season – and Carl Edwards was sixth.

Danica Patrick, who qualified fifth, finished 19th.
