Kevin Harvick took the lead on a green-white-checker restart to win the Coke 600 at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday night.
The victory was his second of the year and helped him pad his series points lead.
“This has been a great place for us. It has been one of those magical places for us,” Harvick, who won the 2007 Daytona 500, said.

Kasey Kahne was second and Jeff Gordon was third.
Fourth was Dale Earnhardt Jr.
“We were terrible all night long,” Earnhardt said. “We got lucky, real lucky to get what we did.”
Clint Bowyer had the lead with about 300 yards to the white flag in regulation time when a crash behind him brought out a caution and set up the green-white-checkered restart. But after losing the lead on the restart, he spun and wrecked on the final lap.
A large bunch of cars which had chances to win were taken out in a huge accident which occurred with 13 laps to go. Among those involved were Juan Pablo Montoya, Tony Stewart, Greg Biffle, Jeff Burton, Sam Hornish, Kurt Busch, Jimmie Johnson and Denny Hamlin – all of whom had led the race at one point or another.
The wreck brought out a red flag.
“We knew it was coming,” Johnson, who finished 31st, said. “You could feel it building.”
Kyle Busch led 23 laps and appeared to have one of the fastest car but was dumped by Juan Pablo Montoya on lap 103. Busch was leading the race at the time.
Rain and a wet track forced a 90-minute delay to the start of the race.
The race ended shortly before 1 a.m. EDT.
