Clint Bowyer won the Amp Energy Juice 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday afternoon.

















He won because it was determined he was in the lead when a yellow flag was brought out following a huge wreck which occurred on the final lap of the race.

Kevin Harvick, car taped together with large strips of Bear Bond because of an earlier wreck, finished second. His finish moved him to within 38 points of the points lead.

For a few minutes, it looked as thought Harvick may have won the race. When the yellow waved, he and Bowyer were door to door and officials had to review the scoring loop to determine the winner.

Points leader Jimmie Johnson finished seventh and stretched his points lead – from six to 10 points – over Denny Hamlin, who finished eighth.
