Wendy Venturini "There are some great stories in the Chase for 2009. You have a guy like Brian Vickers in his first Chase ever, showing good signs for 2009, and Jeff Gordon, a drive for five. He has plenty of championships but not yet a sprint cup championship. That is his goal for 2009. Here are some more interviews from our trip to New York City at the London Hotel where we sat down with many of the Chase drivers and they talked about very long and grueling NASCAR Sprint Cup season. Check out the real deal"

Denny Hamlin "We have a long grueling season in our sport,"

Jimmie Johnson "The switch is flipped and it is like, wow this is it!"

Ryan Newman "It is a long time if you look at our schedule."

Jeff Gordon "It is as lot of races, and a lot is going to happen."

Brian Vickers "Everything seems like an eternity when you are looking ahead."

Wendy Venturini "We hear it all the time. Ten races, one champion, but how long does the Chase feel? Some may say the first 26 feel like an eternity, but it sounds like these last 10 feel just about the same."

Jeff Gordon "A lot is going to happen and it is not every year do you have a 5.1 average and lose the championship. In ’07 that was the case. I will take that 5.1 average all the way to Las Vegas this year. I am not talking about betting, I am talking about the banquet."

Ryan Newman "It is a long time if you look at the schedule, it is almost a third of the schedule, but at the same time you can make or break your championship hopes in one race."

Jimmie Johnson "You try and sometimes you can block it out, but at some point during the day the thought goes through your mind, I could be the champion and it starts. It makes every minute slower, it makes mile slower and you are just focused on what you are doing."

Denny Hamlin "I think your outlook changes as little bit. I think after about the first four races, you will see the guys who are going to be contending for the championship, their focus is still going to be on, all right, next week, how are we going to win this championship."

Brian Vickers "Everything feels like an eternity when you are looking ahead. You know the time elapses in a different way mentally than when you look backwards. A memory strand is just completely different."
