Todd Bodine is concerned about his future?

That’s a headline that not many would've thought they'd ever read.

After all, with the exception of a 19th place finish in Loudon, NH, on September 13th, and a 9th place finish on September 20th in Las Vegas, Bodine has not finished outside of the Top 5 since July 25, 2008. And, by the way, he also scored three wins during the 2008 season.

The 2006 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Champion closed the 2008 season with a win in Homestead before repeating his success at the 2009 season opener at Daytona International Speedway. Bodine won Daytona driving an unsponsored truck and recorded his fourth consecutive restrictor-plate victory, while also netting his 16th win in 116 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts.

Since Kyle Busch will not be running the full Truck Series schedule, Bodine is the effective points leader. With that said, Bodine could very well find himself watching the March 28th Martinsville race from the comfort of his living room if sponsorship is not secured. A little disconcerting considering that he has proven himself to be one of the best drivers in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series history.

With a commitment to competing and being successful, the Germain family has remained
loyal to Bodine, as they have personally funded the #30 Toyota Tundra this season, but time is running out and sponsorship is a necessity. GEICO, the sponsor of teammate Max Papis, has also offered some financial relief, however the need for a full-time sponsor has arrived.

“We’ve had a great year and we’re riding a streak of wins and Top 5’s, so our program speaks for itself and is of a huge benefit to any sponsor looking to get into NASCAR and have instant success,” Bodine said. “The Germain family has been gracious in funding the truck so far this year and I also appreciate GEICO’s support. We’re at the top of the point standings with another championship in our sights, so it would be great to have a sponsor to share it with and help them benefit from all of our hard work at Germain Racing.”

While Bodine’s future is uncertain, his poise, passion and commitment remain unwavered, and he is a true champion who will continue to experience great success. A company looking to build their reputation would be well served to secure a relationship with a guy who possesses such a great one.
