Xpress Motorsports driver Brian Scott paced the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice Friday at Memphis Motorsports Park in preparation for Saturday’s MemphisTravel.com 200.
Scott’s lap of 115.890 mph in the No. 16 Toyota was .011 seconds faster than Randy Moss Motorsports’ Mike Skinner, who went 115.835 in the No. 5 Toyota. David Starr went 115.775 in the No. 24 HT Motorsports Toyota.
Stacy Compton (Wyler Racing) was fouth, with Matt Crafton (ThorSport Racing) fifth. Sixth through 10th were Timothy Peters (Red Horse Racing), Johnny Sauter (ThorSport), Dennis Setzer (MRD Motorsports), James Buescher (Circle Bar Racing) and Todd Bodine
(Germain Racing).
The Truck series has its final practice slated for 5:45 p.m. EDT today. Qualifying is scheduled 2 p.m. EDT Saturday, with the 200-lap race slated for shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday night
