After leading the opening round earlier in the day, Nelson Piquet Jr. again showed the way in the final Happy Hour practice for the WinStar World Casino 350 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.

It was a 1-2-3 sweep for Turner Motorsports, as Piquet was followed at the top of the speed charts by teammates Miguel Paludo and Truck Series points leader James Buescher. Ryan Blaney was fourth in Brad Keselowski’s Ram, followed by Ty Dillon in the first of the Richard Childress Racing Chevrolets.

Kyle Busch was sixth, followed by Matt Crafton, David Mayhew Gale Cale and Joey Coulter.

SPEED’s will televise Truck Series qualifying from Texas at 3 p.m. ET Friday. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Setup airs at 7:30 p.m., followed by the race at 8 p.m.

The Texas race is the 20th of 22 on the Truck Series schedule. Buescher leads Dillon by 21 points, with Timothy Peters (-25) third. Parker Kligerman (-36) and Coulter (-46) complete the top five.
