NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES ON SPEED™ CONTINUES SECOND-HALF RATINGS SURGE

SPEED coverage of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race from Kentucky scored a Nielsen Household Rating of .84 (644,000 households), up 115 percent from last year’s mark of .39 (287,000 households) for the equivalent weekend in Iowa. Race coverage peaked at 1.07 (819,000 households) according to Nielsen Media Research, an increase over last year’s peak of .45 (336,000 households), a 138-percent increase.

After early season postponements at Daytona (rain) and Gateway (electrical) put the series in a ratings hole, the Trucks continue to build momentum with viewers, scoring increases in four of the last six events (Pocono up 78%, Darlington up 19%, Bristol up 3% and Kentucky). Since July, NCWTS ratings are up 11 percent year-to-year.

The Trucks return to SPEED on Sept. 18 from Loudon, with live coverage beginning with NCWTS Setup at 2:30 p.m. ET and race coverage beginning at 3 p.m. ET.
