Penalties have been issued in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series as a result of violations during last weekend’s event at Talladega Superspeedway.

Richard Wauters, crew chief of the No. 51 team, has been fined $2,500 and placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31 as a result of rule violations discovered during pre-qualifying inspection.

The No. 51 truck was found to be in violation of Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing); 12-4-J (any determination by NASCAR officials that the race equipment used in the event does not conform to NASCAR rules) and 20B-5.12.1B (only a NASCAR-approved composite air filter housing will be permitted; use of unapproved air filter housing) of the 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Rule Book.

John Loper Jr., a crew member in the series, has been fined $2,500 and suspended from NASCAR indefinitely due to the violation of Section 12-1 and the unauthorized duplication of a NASCAR Annual Credential.
