TRUCKS: Crafton Sets Martinsville Qualifying Record

Matt Crafton set a qualifying record of 96.352 miles per hour as he won the pole position Saturday for Saturday afternoon’s Kroger 200 Camping World Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway.

The pole is the sixth of Crafton’s career.

He will start alongside Ron Hornaday Jr.., who fell just short of Crafton’s speed as the day’s final qualifier. Hornaday ran 96.224.

Rounding out the top five were Denny Hamlin, Johnny Sauter and James Buescher. Kevin Harvick was sixth.

Austin Dillon, the series point leader with three races remaining, qualified 10th.

The race will be broadcast by SPEED. The NCWTS Setup is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. (ET).
