Matt Crafton turned in the fastest lap in a 50-minute Happy Hour practice as Camping World Truck teams prepared Friday night for Saturday’s American Ethanol 225 race at Chicagoland Speedway.

Crafton ran 174.014 miles per hour, slightly slower than Justin Lofton, who had the fastest speed (174.132) in an earlier practice.

Joey Coulter was second in both sessions.

Completing the top five in the second practice were Lofton, Todd Bodine and Nelson Piquet Jr.

Series point leader Timothy Peters was ninth fastest in the first practice and 14th in the second.

Qualifying is scheduled at 3:35 p.m. (ET) Saturday. The race is set for 8 p.m. Saturday. SPEED will televise, beginning with the 7:30 p.m. NCWTS Setup.
