Kurt Busch topped 190 miles per hour to lead Friday afternoon’s practice for Saturday’s fred’s 250 Camping World Truck Series race at Talladega Superspeedway.
Busch ran 190.620 miles per hour to edge James Buescher, who was clocked at 190.616. Following in the top five were Matt Crafton, Miguel Paludo and Jason White.
Series point leader Ty Dillon was eighth.
Buescher trails Dillon by one point entering Saturday’s race.
Timothy Peters, third in points, was 17th fastest in the practice.
Qualifying is scheduled at 5 p.m. (ET) Friday and will be televised by SPEED, which also will broadcast Saturday’s race, beginning with the Setup at 3:30 p.m.
