Joey Coulter got the jump on the rest of the Camping World Truck Series field as he led morning practice Friday for Saturday’s VFW 200 at Michigan International Speedway.

Coulter had a speed of 183.894 miles per hour in the first of three scheduled Truck practices Friday. Sessions also are scheduled at 11 a.m. and 2:10 p.m. (ET).

Following Coulter in the top five were Johnny Sauter, Ty Dillon, Ron Hornaday Jr. and James Buescher.

Series point leader Timothy Peters was 14th in the session.
