Dillon logged his second straight Camping World Truck Series pole Saturday morning, leading time trials for Saturday afternoon’s VFW 200 at Michigan International Speedway.

Dillon, a rookie, turned a lap at 176.488 mph to easily outrun No. 2 Ron Hornaday Jr., who ran 175.914.

Following in the top five were James Buescher, Matt Crafton and Elliott Sadler.

The race is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. ET.

“The truck was great,” Dillon said. “The guys did a good job with the air pressures just before we went out. I’m excited to race. I think track position is going to be important because passing is hard here. Being out front is going to help. We’ve just got to keep it there.”

Series point leader Todd Bodine qualified seventh, one spot behind Johnny Sauter.
