Rookie Dakoda Armstrong showed the way in Saturday’s final Happy Hour round of practice for tomorrow’s Good Sam Roadside Assistance NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Rockingham Speedway.

Armstrong, pilot of the No. 98 EverFi.com Toyota Tundra, had a best lap of 142.354 miles per hour at the one-mile North Carolina oval, which is hosting its first NASCAR race since 2004.

SPEED will televise the Rockingham Truck Series race Sunday afternoon, starting with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Setup at 12:30 p.m. ET, followed by the race at 1 p.m. Qualifying takes place today at 3:35 p.m.

Second-fast behind Armstrong was another Toyota, the No. 88 Menards entry of Matt Crafton, which ran 141.833 mph. Third at 141.732 was Parker Kligerman’s No. 29 Draw-Tite/Mopar Dodge Ram. Timothy Peters was fourth in the No. 17 Strutmasters Toyota, followed by rookie Jon Wes Townley’s No. 09 RAB Racing Toyota.

Miguel Paludo was sixth, then Paulie Harraka and Ross Chastain, making it four rookies in the top eight. Nelson Piquet Jr. and John King completed the top 10.

Daytona winner King comes into Sunday’s race with a lead of one point over Peters and Justin Lofton, and four points over Ty Dillon.
