TRUCKS: 38 On Entry List For Martinsville

There are 38 entries for the Kroger 200 Camping World Truck Series race this weekend at Martinsville Speedway.

Included are the twin nieces of Derrike Cope. Angela Cope is scheduled to drive for Daisy Ramirez Motorsports and Amber Cope will be competing for Rick Ware Racing. Both will have sponsorship from Odyssey batteries.

“The teams and the twins have been waiting patiently to get to this historic occasion,” Derrike Cope said. “The opportunity to showcase their driving talents will happen in Martinsville soon.”

In addition to the Cope twins, there will be two drivers looking to make their series debuts – Cody Cambensy (Lafferty Racing) and Matt Lofton (Matt Lofton Motorsports).

Among the other entry news heading into Martinsville is a change in crew chiefs at Kevin Harvick Inc.

Defending series champion Ron Hornaday will try his fifth crew chief of the season as Butch Hylton takes over the team’s No. 33 truck. Hylton, who was guiding the No. 2 truck, will be replaced by former Wood Brothers Racing crew chief David Hyder. Hyder will serve as crew chief for Kevin Harvick this weekend.

Harvick is one of four drivers hoping to pull double duty at Martinsville. Owner/driver Kyle Busch, ThorSport Racing’s Johnny Sauter, Hermie Sadler (Fast Track Racing) and Harvick are entered in both the truck and Cup races.

Among part-time drivers entered are John King (SS Green Light Racing), B.J. McLeod (Germain Racing), Jason Bowles (Billy Ballew Motorsports), Wes Burton (Green Burton Motorsports), Johanna Long (Panhandle Motorsports), D.J. Kennington (SS Green Light Racing), Hermie Sadler and Stacy Compton (Turn One Racing).
