NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES PRE-RACE SHOW, NCWTS SETUP, ALSO SEES NUMBERS RISE

With the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series scoring its highest season average Nielsen Household Rating in series history in 2009, several other programs from the NASCAR on SPEED lineup also enjoyed year-to-year ratings increases, including three in double digits.

According to Nielsen Media Research, NCWTS Setup, the popular Truck Series pre-race show with Krista Voda was up 12 percent, NASCAR Performance with crew chiefs Larry McReynolds, Chad Knaus and Bootie Barker also was up 12 percent, and NASCAR Smarts delivered a 12-percent ratings increase over the show it replaced in the SPEED lineup, Tradin’ Paint.

“NASCAR programming is the top priority for SPEED,” said network President Hunter Nickell. “We are going to continue cooking up ways to serve NASCAR fans with a wide variety of perspectives and with the same commitment they bring to the race track every weekend …we feed on their enthusiasm.”

NASCAR RaceDay Built by The Home Depot, the high-energy NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pre-race show hosted by John Roberts and featuring Jimmy Spencer, Kenny Wallace and Wendy Venturini, was up two percent year-to-year and NASCAR In A Hurry was up seven percent.
