SPEED COVERAGE OF THE 2012 NASCAR HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY SET FOR SUNDAY AT 6 P.M. ET

NASCAR RACE HUB PREMIERES MONDAY WITH DANICA PATRICK IN-STUDIO

SPEED, the exclusive television network for the NASCAR Hall of Fame, airs its coverage of the 2012 NASCAR Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Sunday at 6 p.m. ET.

Mike Joy hosts Induction Ceremony coverage with backstage reporting assistance from Krista Voda, as NASCAR on FOX and SPEED analyst Darrell Waltrip, Cale Yarborough, Dale Inman, Glen Wood and the late Richie Evans are enshrined in the third class of the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

The first and second classes were inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in May of their respective years, but NASCAR and the NHOF opted to enshrine this year’s class in January in conjunction with the first-ever NASCAR Acceleration Weekend.

On Monday, Jan. 23, NASCAR Race Hub, SPEED’s nightly news and information program, hits the air in its season premiere at 6 p.m. ET. Hosted by Steve Byrnes with reporting by Danielle Trotta, the one-hour show features an in-studio with Danica Patrick as the year’s first guest and brings viewers up-to-speed on everything NASCAR. On the docket is analysis of Daytona testing, wall-to-wall coverage of the week’s Charlotte Motor Speedway Media Tour and a summary of all the happenings since the season finale at Homestead, in addition to predictions and analysis for the 2012 season. Additional segments of Patrick’s interview will air throughout the week. Later in the week, Byrnes sits down with NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Cale Yarborough for an extended, all-access interview.

To complement SPEED’s NASCAR Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony coverage, SPEED.com has set up a special NASCAR Hall of Fame page with inductee bios, photos and video clips, as well as editorial coverage by SPEED.com NASCAR editor Mike Hembree, at http://www.speedtv.com/programs/nascar-hall-of-fame/.
