NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCKS FINISH SEASON ON A RATINGS HIGH NOTE ON SPEED™; UP 10 PERCENT AT HOMESTEAD and PEAKING AT MORE THAN ONE MILLION VIEWERS

According to Nielsen Media Research, despite the points race already being settled, ratings for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race from Homestead-Miami were up 10 percent year-to-year, with Friday night’s live coverage on SPEED scoring a .80 (617,000 households) against last year’s .73 (546,000 households). The race, won by Kyle Busch, peaked at a 1.05 (810,000 households; 1.1 million viewers), up 17 percent from last year’s peak of .90 (668,000 households).

After early season postponements at Daytona (rain) and Gateway (electrical) put the series in a ratings hole, the Trucks finished strong with viewers, scoring increases in eight of the last 13 events (Pocono up 78%, Darlington up 19%, Bristol up 3%, Kentucky up 115%, Las Vegas up 17%, Martinsville up 41%, Texas up 6% and Homestead). Since July, NCWTS ratings are up 3 percent year-to-year.
