Heavy rain and the impending arrival of Tropical Storm Hanna has forced the cancellation of all NASCAR activity at Richmond International Raceway until Sunday, when both the Chevy Rock ‘N’ Roll 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race and the Emerson Radio 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series will be run.
The National Weather Service is calling for a 100 percent chance of rain in Richmond through Saturday night as Hanna rolls up the Eastern Seaboard.
NASCAR has rescheduled the Sprint Cup race for 1 p.m. on Sunday, with the Nationwide race to follow at 7 p.m.
