“NASCAR Racers” is an excellent introduction to the fast-paced motorsport and an enjoyable primer for fledgling NASCAR fans as well as a nice addition to the seasoned fan’s racing library. It combines over 350 excellent photographs with profiles of 60 top drivers from yesterday and today. Stats and trivia abound and the nicest feature of the book is the inclusion of rare historical photography by Don Hunter on some of NASCAR’s legends. Tempered with contemporary images by Nigel Kinrade and the insightful prose of Ben White, “NASCAR Racers” is a fun little book that packs a lot of enjoyment into its 256 pages.

Six Chapters split the content. Novice fans will be familiar with the “Current Drivers” and “The New Class,” but some of the names in the “Legends,” “One-Time Wonders,” and “Memorials” may be unfamiliar. Prepare to learn a solid foundation of NASCAR history in an entertaining manner.
