The fastest lap in the first practice session for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Feed The Children 300 at Kentucky Speedway was put down by Cole Whitt, with a top speed of 170.320 mph looping the 1.5 mile oval in 31.70 seconds.

The balance of the top five included Kurt Busch, Brad Keselowski, Sam Hornish Jr. and series leader Elliott Sadler turned a top speed of 168.624mph good for the 5th slot.

Danica Patrick was clocked at 166.574 mph good for 16th position.

The final practice session will be at 9 am (ET) Friday, qualifying at 3:35 pm and the race will be at 7:30 pm.
