As Braun Racing prepares for the 2010 NASCAR season, the Mooresville, N.C.-based team is beefing up its driver line-up for a potential run for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Owner’s Championship.

Brian Vickers will continue to pilot the No. 32 as originally scheduled, which includes the next three NASCAR Nationwide Series events. Vickers, the 2003 NASCAR Nationwide Series champion, will be joined by a strong team of drivers who will replace Burney Lamar on the schedule. A formal announcement regarding the team’s new members will be released separately.

“Burney Lamar is truly a standout guy who has great potential to be successful in this sport,” said team owner Todd Braun. “I wish the best for him in his future endeavors.”

Braun added that he is looking forward to the remainder
of the 2009 season and to positioning Dollar General’s motorsports program for future success.

“We look forward to the remainder of the 2009 season with Brian Vickers and the addition of some extremely talented drivers to the lineup of the No. 32 Toyota. We are building for the future of this team, and we believe that we are moving in a very positive direction.”
