Doug Randolph, a veteran crew chief most recently at Turner Motorsports working with Ricky Carmichael, has been named crew chief for Rusty Wallace Racing driver Steve Wallace in the Nationwide Series.

Randolph has been a Sprint Cup crew chief at Richard Childress Racing, Earnhardt Ganassi Racing, Dale Earnhardt Inc., Petty Enterprises, MB2 Motorsports, Ginn Racing and Bill Davis Racing.

“Steve’s definitely been one of the most improved drivers over the last couple of years and has really developed into one of the best Nationwide Series guys out there,” Randolph said in a team news release. “This team has a lot of potential too. I’m looking forward to continuing to build this program and hopefully being one of the contenders for the Nationwide Series championship in 2011.”

Randolph has had success in the Nationwide Series, with Scott Riggs and Clint Bowyer having won races under his direction.

“We’re very excited to add Doug Randolph to our organization,” said team general manager Larry Carter. “I’ve known Doug for a while and he’s a really talented guy. He brings a lot of valuable experience to our team, including a lot of experience with the car of tomorrow. We’re all looking forward to working with him.”
