[SATURDAY 7:06 pm ET]

HORNISH IS BACK – Sam Hornish Jr. scored the second win of his Nationwide Series career Saturday at Las Vegas, outgunning Kyle Busch over the closing laps and keeping his spot atop the point standings. Following Hornish and Busch were Brian Vickers, Trevor Bayne and Elliott Sadler. Hornish had a solid car throughout the race but had to hold serve through closing-segment cautions.

[SATURDAY 6:54 pm ET]

LARSON, PART TWO – Kyle Larson is involved in his second major accident of the day, this one occurring in the middle of the pack on a restart and damaging his car extensively enough to end its – and his – day. More definitive proof that cautions breed cautions. Another restarts awaits.

[SATURDAY 6:44 pm ET]

BUNCHED UP AGAIN – Late-race caution brings leader Sam Hornish Jr. back to the rest of the field again with the finish in sight at Las Vegas. Kyle Busch in challenging position at the approach of another restart. Fifteen laps to go.

BEING FUELISH – Assuming the race finishes under green (a rash assumption, for sure), the Nationwide field could be looking at a fuel-mileage battle. Approaching another restart, drivers popping to the pits to top off fuel tanks. Kyle Busch shooting for first Nationwide win at track as field restarts again.

[SATURDAY 6:05 pm ET]

SLAMMIN' SAMMYSam Hornish Jr. running from a position of strength at the front of the Las Vegas field. Hornish entered the race tied with Justin Allgaier for the Nationwide point lead. Hornish has had a mixed career in NASCAR but appears to have the car to beat at Vegas today.

VIDEO: NNS - Trevor Bayne And Kyle Larson Get Together

[SATURDAY 5:45 pm ET]

SMASHING – Phenom Kyle Larson and former Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne crash while wrestling for the high ground. Drops their cars into the 20s for the restart after the fifth caution of the day.

[SATURDAY 5:15 pm ET]

BAYNE NOT TIRED – One-quarter through the race, Trevor Bayne has used a two-tire pit stop to take the lead. His team won this race last season with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. at the wheel. Differing pit strategies likely on 1.5-mile as race unfolds.
