Matt Kenseth on Friday won the pole for Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Texas Motor Speedway by turning a lap at 187.201 mph.

Right behind Kenseth was his Roush Fenway Racing teammate, David Ragan, who had a lap at 186.548 mph.

Jason Leffler was third, Kasey Kahne fourth and Kevin Harvick fifth.

Series points-leader Kyle Busch was sixth fastest in qualifying for the O’Reilly Challenge at TMS.

Carl Edwards,
another Roush driver who is second in points, was eighth. He will start the race 215 points behind Busch.

Between Busch and Edwards on the starting grid for the race will be Brad Keselowski, who is in third place in points, 257 behind Busch.
