Denny Hamlin backed up his threat to pay back Brad Keselowski, spinning Keselowski early in the Ford 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

After the two had a confrontation during the race last weekend at Phoenix International Raceway, Hamlin vowed to get back at Keselowski.

On lap 35 on Saturday, Hamlin got in the back of Keselowski off Turn 4, sending Keselowski’s JR Motorsports Chevrolet for a spin. Keselowski didn’t hit anything, and after pit stops, restarted the race in 30th.

NASCAR penalized CJM Racing’s Hamlin one lap for rough driving.

Over the team’s radio, Keselowski crew chief Tony Eury Sr. said, “That boy will never learn. He didn't do it good enough.”

MRN Radio reported that Hamlin told his crew that the sun, which was low in the horizon as drivers come off Turn 4, was in his eyes.
