Brad Keselowski will be fully sponsored in his quest for the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series championship, as Internet domain host GoDaddy.com announced Wednesday that it will continue on with JR Motorsports and Hendrick Motorsports in 2009.
GoDaddy.com will be the primary sponsor of the Keselowski-driven No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet for 18 Nationwide Series events and two additional NNS races with Dale Earnhardt’s No. 5 Chevy. GoDaddy.com also will sponsor Keselowski in seven NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races in 2009, when he’ll drive the No. 25 Hendrick Motorsports Chevys, with Lance McGrew serving as crew chief. The company also will be an associate sponsor of Hendrick’s No. 5 Sprint Cup Chevrolets and driver Mark Martin throughout the season.
Details of the Nationwide and Cup programs, including race dates, will be announced at a later time, Hendrick officials said in a release issued Wednesday.
Unilever will be Keselowski’s
Last year, Keselowski won two races, had 11 top-five and 20 top-10 finishes and ended the seasons third in points behind Clint Bowyer and Carl Edwards. For his efforts, fans voted the Michigan driver the most popular driver in the series. And all parties involved with the driver expect big things again this year.
“I’m very lucky to have GoDaddy.com on board for both series in 2009, and I’m looking forward to having a great season,” said Keselowski. “We’re going to make a run for the championship in the Nationwide Series and have some strong runs in the Sprint Cup car. We wouldn’t be able to do it without the support they’re providing, and I personally appreciate their confidence in me as a driver.”
