Busch pitted on Lap 143, as green-flag stops began. Leader Burton came in two laps later, followed by Edwards on Lap 147, and by the time the cars cycled through on Lap 156, the order was Burton, Edwards, Busch, Mike Wallace and Logano.

Jason Leffler slapped the wall with 16 laps to go, bringing out a caution flag and bunching up the field for a late-race restart.

Edwards came in for fresh rubber, and restarted eighth, behind Busch, Burton, Scott Speed, David Reutimann, Newman, Keselowski and Paul Menard.

The green flew with 11 laps to go, Burton immediately pressuring Busch for the lead and Edwards moving up to fifth.

With seven to go, Edwards was up to third behind Busch and Burton, a tremendous battle shaping up for the victory.

Edwards got second with five laps to go, moving to within half a second of leader Busch.

With three to go, the margin was down to three tenths of a second. Busch was able to hold at the end, despite a fierce charge from Edwards.
