Austin Dillon turned a fast lap of 30.727 seconds on the 1.5-mile tri-oval hitting 175.741 MPH in the first of two practice sessions for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Kentucky 300.

The top five included Elliott Sadler (174.672) , Sam Hornish Jr.. points leader Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Brendan Gaughan.

Danica Patrick posted 15th fastest.

The final practice is scheduled for tonight 6pm (ET) with qualifying set for Saturday 12:35 pm (ET).
