NASCAR RaceDay Continues Double-Digit Ratings Roll

The popular SPEED live pre-race program NASCAR RaceDay Built by the Home Depot, starring John Roberts, Jimmy Spencer, Kenny Wallace and Wendy Venturini, continued its strong performance last weekend with an average Nielsen Household rating of 1.12 (804,000 households) from Talladega. The weekly high-energy show peaked at 1.41 (1,013,000 households).
The rating marks a 47-percent increase year-to-year, as last season’s show from Talladega scored a .76 (532,000 households) and peaked at a .96 (673,000 households).
NASCAR on SPEED enjoyed across-the-board success over the weekend, as the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race from Kansas was up 49 percent (.61 vs. .41) and NASCAR Sprint Cup Qualifying was up 23 percent (1.00 vs. .81).
NASCAR RaceDay now in its third season, also continues to deliver a younger audience, scoring seven of its top 10 all-time ratings marks in the Men 18-49 demographic this season, including the Talladega edition. Last weekend’s show was the third most-watched show on cable in its time slot among Men 18-49, falling in behind the NFL Draft and NBA Playoff game.
