The rain-delayed NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race from Dover enjoyed a five-percent Nielsen Household Ratings increase year-to-year, scoring a .86 (626,000 households) and peaking at a 1.11 (811,000 households). In 2008, the Dover Truck race earned a .82 (597,000 households) Nielsen Rating, peaking at just .99 (719,000 households).
After a year of double-digit ratings growth in 2008, the Dover race marks the third time in five races that ratings have increased on SPEED™ for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2009. Daytona numbers were up 21 percent and Atlanta was up 23 percent. Charlotte was down slightly during All-Star week and Kansas was run on a Monday afternoon after being rained out over the weekend.
In 2008, 19 of 22 NCWTS races on SPEED™ enjoyed ratings growth, 15 in double digits.
In addition, the popular NASCAR Camping World Truck Series pre-race show,
NCWTS Setup with Krista Voda, was up 58 percent from a year ago, earning a Nielsen Rating of .57 as compared to .36 in 2008.
