OK, folks, after a bit of a breather to take care of some business at SPEED, The Answerman is back in business! Please send your questions to: and I’ll try to answer as many of them as I can for the remainder of the season.

OK, Answerman, who wins the 25th running of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star race? — Susan Olivia
The NASCAR Sprint All-Star race, which will be televised live on SPEED at 7 p.m., is always one of the most fascinating and unpredictable events in all of motorsports. We saw a wild result last year, when Kasey Kahne was voted into the main event via the Sprint Fan Vote and went on to win. Michael Waltrip stunned the world in 1996 when he won after being 0 for his entire career previously.

This year? I’m going to say that the winner will be one of the Stewart-Haas Racing drivers, either Ryan Newman or Tony Stewart. These guys have been on fire lately and it’s time they broke into the winner’s circle.

And by the way, join us tonight for our live chat at: Live! Chat on SPEEDtv.com The chat begins at 7 p.m. and our guests include Steve Page, the President of Infineon Raceway, and Tim Considine, who is Sprint’s top man in the NASCAR program.

During the chat, we will have an exclusive: We’ll reveal the names of the top five drivers in the fan vote. This will be the ONLY place you can get that, so be sure to join us in the chat tonight!

Is there anything to the rumors that Kurt Busch will be leaving Penske Championship Racing at the end of the year? — Dave Murphy
Dave: That’s an interesting question. I’ve been hearing all sorts of rumors about Busch talking with other teams, most notably Richard Childress Racing. But I ran into Busch the other night at the 2009 Sprint Pit Crew Challenge and asked him about it. He assured me that he’s very happy at Penske, especially now that he’s running so much better, that he’s still in the middle of a long-term deal and that he plans to be with Penske for years to come.

Could that change? Of course, it could. But I asked Busch point blank and that’s what he told me.
