One event in which you can participate is a fund-raiser for the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA). Check out pva.org/GoKart for more information how you can attend an event in Mooresville, NC Tuesday, May 19.

Among the scheduled attendees are Richard Petty, Reed Sorenson and AJ Allmendinger for a four-hour endurance karting event. If you enjoy karting yourself, you can enter the race as a driver, or sponsor an entire team. Tickets to the events are limited and are on sale now from the event’s website. VIP tickets are $100 – and include a private meet-and-greet with Richard Petty and several of the Richard Petty Motorsports drivers. There will be a silent auction and even live music while the race is held with all proceeds going to the PVA. Many teams already entered are sponsored by the charitable foundations of drivers such as Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne, Kurt Busch, David Stremme and Brad Keselowski.

No matter the economy and the state of sponsorship, expect the military and NASCAR to be forever linked.
