F1: Vettel Moves Ahead In Second Korean GP Practice

A winner of the last two Grands Prix, Sebastian Vettel enters Sunday's Korean GP at Korea International Circuit brimming with confidence and momentum.

In Friday's second practice, the reigning World Champion also brought plenty of speed.

After running just fifth in Friday's opening session, Vettel moved his familiar Red Bull to the top of the time sheet in Free Practice Two with a lap of 1:38:832.

The sister Red Bull of Mark Webber clocked in a close second at 1:38:864, as no other driver recorded a time of under 1:39:000.

Former World Champions Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button and Michael Schumacher completed the top five in the 90-minute, all-dry session.

Felipe Massa, Nico Rosberg, P1 leader Lewis Hamilton, Nico Hulkenberg and Kimi Raikkonen filled out the rest of the top 10.

The only driver to experience any real trouble in FP2 was future McLaren man Sergio Perez, whose Sauber retired with an engine actuator problem after logging just 11 laps.

Sunday's Korean Grand Prix marks the 16th of 20 events on the 2012 Formula One calendar, which concludes in late November with the Brazilian GP.

Coming into the weekend, Alonso leads the drivers' standings by four points over Vettel, a winner last weekend in Japan and two weeks earlier in Singapore.

Raikkonen (-37), Hamilton (-42) and Webber (-60) complete the top five.

Alonso, Vettel and Hamilton each own a season-high three victories, while Webber and Button, both with two victories, are the season's other repeat winners.
