There are 49 entries for the AAA Texas 500 this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.

Several part-time teams have entered cars, including Stavola Labonte Racing with Bobby Labonte behind the wheel. Labonte is the only past champion entered who does not have a guaranteed spot and will make the race with a provisional if he fails to qualify on speed.

With 35 guaranteed spots and Labonte in the field, there will be 13 drivers competing for the final seven spots.

Two of those drivers will attempt to make their Sprint Cup debuts – Wood Brothers Racing’s Trevor Bayne (who is expected to replace Bill Elliott on the entry list) and R3 Motorsports’ Josh Wise.

The other 11 drivers needing to qualify on speed are Landon Cassill (Phoenix Racing), Casey Mears (Germain Racing), Patrick Carpentier (Latitude 43 Motorsports), J.J. Yeley (Tommy Baldwin Racing), David Gilliland (Front Row Motorsports), Michael McDowell (Whitney Motorsports), Jeff Green (Gunselman Motorsports), Mike Bliss (Prism Motorsports), Scott Riggs (Whitney), Joe Nemechek (Nemco Motorsports) and Brian Keselowski (K-Automotive Motorsports).

Among the other entries are Robby Gordon in his Robby Gordon Motorsports car and Andy Lally in the TRG Motorsports entry.
