CUP: Stremme, Waltrip On Bristol List

David Stremme and Michael Waltrip are in. Boris Said and Michael McDowell are out.

That’s according to the preliminary NASCAR Sprint Cup entry list for Sunday’s Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway, which was released Monday afternoon. A total of 45 cars are entered for 43 spots in the field for the fifth Cup race of the season.

The entry list shows Stremme, who last year drove the No. 12 Penske Racing Dodge, as the driver of the No. 26 Latitude 43 Motor Sports Ford Fusion. That entry has been driven all season by Said, who had a best finish of 25th in the season-opening Daytona 500.

McDowell had been driving the No. 55 Prism Motorsports Toyota Camry, which is campaigned out of the Michael Waltrip Racing shops in Cornelius, N.C. McDowell finished 33rd in the Daytona 500 and 42nd in the next three races, with his car being run in the start-and-park mode most all the season.

As a driver, Waltrip has made one start this season, qualifying 43rd and finishing 18th in the Daytona 500, where he drove the No. 51 MWR Toyota.
