EVERY TALLADEGA PRACTICE AND QUALIFYING SESSION LIVE ON SPEED

What’s scarier? Kyle Busch lurking in your rearview mirror late in the race or the next Halloween costumes of the SPEED NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on-air crew at Talladega Superspeedway?

It’s that time again … Halloween weekend at Talladega, NASCAR’s most frightening and anxiety-inducing track, and SPEED is back with 20 hours of original NASCAR programming surrounding the biggest track on the circuit.

“Having fun with Halloween quickly has become a tradition at SPEED,” said SPEED President Hunter Nickell. “I think we scared even ourselves with some of our Halloween-themed shows last year. But we had a great time with thrill-packed racing and we’re up for the challenge again… what more could you want on Halloween?”

In addition to live coverage of Saturday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race and all practice and qualifying sessions for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Truck Series, SPEED also will deliver Dave Despain On Assignment: Talladega, an encore look at how the famed speedway came to be, a second live episode of Trackside and a Halloween version of NCWTS Setup leading into the Truck Series race. After being forever immortalized as characters from “The Wizard of Oz” and “Batman,” what costume theme will the Truck Series crew choose this weekend?

NASCAR Race Hub (Mondays thru Thursdays at 7 p.m. ET) gets everyone in the festive mood early in the week, welcoming a long list of guests that includes four-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday discussing his Martinsville win and his expectations for Talladega on Tuesday; Kevin Harvick on Wednesday with a look-back to his Talladega win in the spring and his team’s repeat hopes; a live report from Talladega on Thursday; the latest in the Richard Petty Motorsports story, including an update on whether the organization will be able to compete after Talladega; and a rundown of the top-five moments in Talladega history, among other topics and live guests.

After 2009’s successful first attempt, Trackside again features two weekend shows from the race track. Hosts Krista Voda, Larry McReynolds, Jeff Hammond and Elliott Sadler will welcome Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards on Friday’s regular show at 7 p.m. ET, as well as Kevin Harvick, Chase contender and winner of the spring race at Talladega, on Saturday’s special edition live at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Dave Despain On Assignment: Talladega, the third in a series of SPEED historical perspectives, takes an in-depth look at the effort that surrounded building the mammoth superspeedway and the drama that filled the first race weekend. Interviews include Richard Petty, Bobby and Donnie Allison, Richard Childress, Richard Brickhouse, Ray Fox, Jim Vandiver, Tom Higgins, Jim Foster and Humpy Wheeler.

Additionally, NASCAR RaceDay Built by the Home Depot (Sunday at 10 a.m. ET), the popular NASCAR Sprint Cup Series pre-race show with John Roberts, Kyle Petty, Kenny Wallace, Wendy Venturini and Hermie Sadler, will offer features and analysis on Sunday’s race and welcome guests that include Kasey Kahne, among others.
