While the Roush Fenway Racing squad was unable to keep Kyle Busch out of victory lane at Darlington Raceway on Saturday night, the team had one of its best overall races of the season in the Dodge Challenger 500.
Four of the five Roush Fenway Racing Ford Fusions finished in the top 11, led by race runner-up Carl Edwards. But Edwards was just the start, as David Ragan finished fifth, Matt Kenseth sixth and Jamie McMurray 11th. The only Roush car missing was Greg Biffle, who led 95 laps but saw his Ford succumb to mechanical ailments, dropping him to 43rd in the race.
For the rest of the squad, though, it was an excellent night. Ragan earned his second top-five finish in the last three races, while Kenseth kept all his hopes of making it into the Chase for the Sprint Cup for a fifth consecutive season.
