Dale Earnhardt was third at 179.901 mph in his No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, ahead of Martin Truex Jr.’s No. 56 Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota. Truex’s teammate, Clint Bowyer completed the top five.

Interestingly, the top four during practice all are in the top five in points.

The second five was Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson and Brad Keselowski.

The final Happy Hour round of practice takes place at 5:30 p.m. ET and will be televised live on SPEED.
