The 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule, which was released earlier today, contains some minor tweaks, but no dramatic realignment as has been the case in years past .

Here are the key changes:

Starting in February, all of Daytona Speedweeks is pushed back one week.

The March off week between Las Vegas and Bristol is eliminated, and instead there is no Cup race during the second week of April. In fact, there are just two off weekends all year long.

The first of two Kansas races moves from June to April.

The April Talladega date moves to May.

The first Dover races moves back to its old slot after Charlotte in the first weekend in June.

Kentucky moves from July to the last race in June.

In October, Talladega and Kansas swap dates, with Talladega to be the first weekend of the month and Kansas the third.
