Carl Edwards continues to knock it out of the park.

Edwards, the NASCAR Sprint Cup points leader, scored a dominating victory in Saturday night’s Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Needless to say, Edwards remains firmly atop the FOXSports.com/SPEED.com Power Rankings this week.

This week’s list:

1. Carl Edwards — The only thing Edwards did wrong is tear up the nose of his car in the post-race infield burnout. Stout from start to finish. Previous rank: 1.

2. Kyle Busch — It looked as if Busch might have something for Edwards, but it was not to be. Previous rank: 3.

3. Matt Kenseth — The Roush Fenway Racing Fords are starting to come alive, and figure to get better. Previous rank: 6.

4. Jimmie Johnson — A disappointing night for Johnson, but don’t count him out yet. Could rally anytime. Previous rank: 2.

5. Kevin Harvick — For a man used to making noise, Harvick was surprisingly quiet during All-Star week. Previous rank: 4.

6. Ryan Newman — Good but not great at the All-Star race, Newman finished the night 10th. Previous rank: 8.

7. Clint Bowyer — Overall, the All-Star race was disappointing for Richard Childress Racing. Previous rank: 7.

8. Greg Biffle — Early on, Biffle was the fastest car on the track and should be good in the Coca-Cola 600. Previous rank: 15.

9. Dale Earnhardt Jr. — Slow in practice. Slow in the Showdown. Slow in the main event. Still beloved. Previous rank: 5.

10. Tony Stewart — After the Dover debacle, Stewart bounced back strongly with a fourth-place run. Previous rank: 10.

11. Kurt Busch — No repeat for Busch, who last year swept at Charlotte but this time was 13th. Previous rank: 9.

12. Denny Hamlin — The No. 11 team and Hamlin are showing some signs of life, finally. Previous rank: 14.

13. Jeff Gordon — Getting boxed in on pit road and having a lousy restart ended Gordon’s chances. Previous rank: 12.

14. Mark Martin — A victim of circumstance, Martin was hit by a swerving Johnson. Tough night. Previous rank: 11.

15. David Ragan — Won the Sprint Showdown and finished eighth in the big race. Previous rank: Unranked.

16. Brad Keselowski — The resurgence of Keselowski continued with a second-place Showdown finish. Previous rank: 19.

17. Juan Pablo Montoya — Continues to be a mystery why this team isn’t faster. Previous rank: 16.

18. Kasey Kahne — A prior All-Star winner, Kahne crashed himself out on Saturday night. Previous rank: 18.

19. AJ Allmendinger — Maybe next year for the ‘Dinger. Previous rank: 13.

20. Marcos Ambrose — Fast in the Showdown, but not fast enough. Previous rank:17.
