CUP: Montoya Gets New Crew Chief; Elledge, CGR Part Ways

Brian Pattie will replace Jimmy Elledge and serve as interim crew chief for Juan Pablo Montoya this weekend for the Coca-Cola 600 as Elledge has parted ways with Chip Ganassi Racing, a team spokesman confirmed Tuesday afternoon.

Elledge, who had started the NASCAR Sprint Cup season as the crew chief for Reed Sorenson, had only been with Montoya
for three races after he and crew chief Donnie Wingo swapped positions.

Montoya finished second at Talladega but was 32nd at Richmond and was 23rd at Darlington.
