There are 47 entries for the Tums Fast Relief 500 this weekend at Martinsville Speedway, but a 48th could surface if Robby Gordon Motorsports opts to field two cars.

RGM entered two cars last week at Charlotte with Robby Gordon in the No. 7, which is clinging to the 35th spot in the owner standings by five points, and rookie Kevin Conway in the No. 07, which does not have a guaranteed spot. Whether the organization does the same this week is still to be determined, and its possible it will enter two cars but with Conway in the No. 7.

There are 36 cars guaranteed starting spots – the top 35 in owner points and Phoenix Racing, which has past champion Bobby Labonte in the car. Labonte has used three of his six past champion’s provisionals and could use another if needed.

Tony Raines is entered in the Front Row Motorsports No. 38 car, which is five points behind the RGM No. 7 car for one of the 35 guaranteed spots.

In addition to Raines, other drivers who must qualify on speed are Casey Mears (Germain Racing), Ken Schrader (Latitude 43 Motorsports), Dave Blaney (Tommy Baldwin Racing), Michael McDowell (Whitney Motorsports), Terry Cook (Prism Motorsports), Landon Cassill (Gunselman Motorsports), Johnny Sauter (Prism), J.J. Yeley (Whitney Motorsports No. 81), Joe Nemechek (Nemco Motorsports) and Dennis Setzer (K-Automotive Motorsports).

Entered in the TRG Motorsports No. 71 car this week is Hermie Sadler. Although Reed Sorenson is entered in the Red Bull Racing No. 83 car, Sorenson will drive for Braun Racing in the Nationwide Series race at Gateway this weekend. No driver for the No. 83 has been named.
