Charlotte Motor Speedway is hosting the Legend Cars race to top them all. The race, to be held this weekend July 15-17, will have a $1 million purse with $250,000 awarded to the winner of the Legends Million A-Feature. The inaugural Legends Million will be broadcast Live! on SPEED this Saturday evening starting with pre-race coverage at 7:30 pm ET. Competitors who register for the Legends Million must register in one of three divisions: Young Lions/Semi-Pro, Masters or The Legends Million, which is open to all drivers. Each division will run heat races and an A-Main race, with the Legends Million A-Feature serving as the grand finale of the three-day event. However, there is a twist in the A-Main races for the Masters and Young Lions/Semi-Pro divisions. The winners of those two division A-Main races will earn an unprecedented $30,000 and $25,000, respectively.

7/17/10 VIDEO: Daniel Hemric Wins Legends Million - Kannapolis, N.C., native Daniel Hemric won the inaugural Legends Million, the largest grassroots race in history, at Charlotte Motor Speedway, taking home an unprecedented $250,000 with the victory. Leading the first 89 laps of the 100-lap A-Feature, it looked as if pole-sitter Doug Stevens was going to complete a perfect weekend by winning the Legends Million. 7/16/10 CUP: Stevens On Pole For Legends Million Friday marked day two of the inaugural Legends Million Weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Doug Stevens claimed the top starting position for Saturday’s Legends Million $250,000-to-win A-Feature. DAY 3 SINGLE ROUND PRACTICE Legends Million - Charlotte Motor Speedway - Concord, North Carolina - Blog entry by Jordan Anderson -- After completing single car qualifying on Thursday, my crew and I headed back to the race track to see what the Lord had in store for us. We got to the racetrack around 8am and prepared for single round practice, which was slated to start an hour later at 9. During practice over 200 of the 350 cars took to the track to see how their cars would fare for the qualifying races. My car was about the same as it had been all week; we were close on speed but still not where we needed to be.
