Kyle Busch will make his 200th career Sprint Cup start from the top of the hill.

Busch led qualifying Friday for Sunday’s Gillette Fusion ProGlide Sprint Cup race at Pocono Raceway with a speed of 169.485 mph.

Busch is second in Sprint Cup points (to Kevin Harvick) and enters Sunday’s race with two wins and eight top-10 finishes in 13 starts.

“We were good when we unloaded, and we made some changes in qualifying trim that were really good for us,” Busch said. “To start on the pole for the 200th means a lot. It would mean even more if we could win it.”

Busch bumped Clint Bowyer out of the top spot. Bowyer held second and was followed by Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kurt Busch and Denny Hamlin.

The pole was Busch’s second of the season and his first at Pocono.
