Kyle Busch and his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Joey Logano, drafted together Friday to lead the day’s second Daytona 500 practice at Daytona International Speedway.
The Busch-Logano draft was clocked at 199.885 miles per hour.
Following in the top five in the hour-long practice were Kurt Busch, Denny Hamlin and Tony Stewart.
Danica Patrick, practicing for the first time Friday in her backup car after a brutal Thursday crash destroyed her primary racer, was 10th on the speed list. Dale Earnhardt Jr. was 19th.
Only 23 of the 500’s 43 drivers participated in the practice. Sixteen drivers ran in an earlier Friday practice.
The final practice before the 500 is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. (ET) Saturday.
