Roush Fenway Racing has always excelled at 1.5-mile tracks, and the team’s Matt Kenseth will be the first driver attempting to qualify for Sunday’s Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Qualifying begins at 4:30 p.m. ET and will be televised live on SPEED.

Behind Kenseth’s No. 17 RFR Ford Fusion will be the Richard Petty Motorsports No. 19 Dodge Charger of Elliott Sadler. Then come three championship contenders: Mark Martin’s No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Impala SS, Juan Pablo Montoya in an Earnhardt Ganassi Racing Chevy and points leader Jimmie Johnson in another Hendrick car.

Brad Keselowski, who has driven for Phoenix Racing and Hendrick Motorsports in the Sprint Cup series this year, will make his first start with Penske Racing on Sunday. Keselowski will drive the No. 12 Dodge, replacing David Stremme.

A total of 47 cars will attempt to qualify for the race, meaning four cars will go home after today.
