Daytona Preseason Thunder is beginning to fade.

Hendrick Motorsports teammates Kasey Kahne and Jeff Gordon led the final morning session of the three-day test runs at Daytona International Speedway Saturday, spinning laps at 201.545 miles per hour in a two-car draft.

The DIS test runs are scheduled to end Saturday afternoon with a four-hour (1-5 p.m. ET) session that will find the cars back in pack-drafting mode for at least part of the session. After two and one-half days of runs, several teams planned to return to the Charlotte, N.C., area and skip the Saturday afternoon session.

The afternoon runs will be broadcast by SPEED, beginning at 1 p.m.

Saturday morning’s session included single-car and two-car runs as teams addressed more NASCAR adjustments, with the sanctioning body continuing to work to decrease the attractiveness of tandem drafting.

Kahne and Gordon were the only drivers over the 200-mph barrier Saturday morning. Next fastest were Kurt Busch and Mark Martin at 199.464 mph.

Also in the top 10 – Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Burton, Regan Smith, Jamie McMurray and Juan Pablo Montoya.
